Planning Tips

7 Tips to ensure your event with Drew Blue Shoes is a success:

1) Book early: to ensure Drew’s availability! Send out invites as soon as you finalize plans. Sending Drew a final headcount ensures that the show is best suited for your party!

2) Reserve: an open space for Drew’s performance. Whether it’s a basement, living room, or basement, please remove distractions, toys, and breakables from the area. This will ensure kids are WOWed the entire time. Drew will only need a small space to fit all his magical props. Kids can sit on the ground in front of the performance space

3) Plan: to have the show begin at least 30 minutes after the start of the party to give time for guests to arrive. Due to Drew’s busy performance schedule, Drew asks that all shows please start on time!

4) Plan… Again: Consider all possibilities. Have a backup-plan in case of inclement weather. If performing outdoors in the heat, Drew asks that the audience and performance space be placed out of direct sunlight – sitting in the scorching sun isn’t fun, no matter how great the show is! Drew will honor your event’s rain date as best as his schedule allows.

5) Decorate! Putting up birthday decorations or buying magic party favors will add to the excitement! It is also helpful to decorate your front door or mailbox so guests can easily find your house!

6) Enjoy! Drew performs shows that are fun for children and adults! Parents are encouraged to stay and experience the magical memories with their kids – but don’t forget your camera!

7) Payment Made Easy! Drew accepts cash, card, or check – whichever you prefer. Please have payment ready at end of the performance.
